One thing that makes me well...quite furious is when a caregiver that is taking care of my mother when I am not there undermines me. I had been at my mothers all last week, and was leaving to drive back to Chicago at 7pm when Josh (family dog) wasnt acting just right. My mother with her dementia feeds this poor dog when we are not looking RIGHT FROM HER FORK! Josh then gets Pancreatitis. This has been going on now for at least 5 years. Anyway, I arranged for the family dog walker to take Josh to the vet last Friday morning because I wanted him to be seen before the holiday weekend. YOU KNOW WHAT THE CAREGIVER DID? She CANCELLED the dog walker to take Josh "because he didn't look so bad". I WAS LIVID! I didnt find out until it was too late and then Memorial Day came. According to the dog walker, the caregiver told her that I was over-reacting! OMG! What gives the right to a caregiver to do this? ok ok you are now saying "I would fire her"....would you really in a town the size of a pea where there are NO OTHER RESOURCES? This is the stuff that really makes me nuts. Awwwwwwhhhaaa I feel much better! Oh about Josh….the dog walker took him yesterday morning, and he did have pancreatitis and was put on medication…..
